  I love this place for several reasons. You can easily spend a day here if you're prepared and open to it. It has quite few different trails, picnic areas and if you're lucky, you will see abundance of wild life.
  I would avoid the weekends unless you go early in the morning. It's quite a busy place and it may take you some time to complete the track.
  The nature is really beautiful.
  One thing that has made me upset is people who left their rubbish all over the place.

  Great day out for the kids needing a change of scenery and game for a new adventure.
  Found this gem of a walk less than an hour away from the city, with amazing views and varied tracks for different fitness levels.
  We took our kids here on a clear summer day last month, and it turned out to be the best time to go. The wind was cool and it was not a typical hot summer day. Try not to go on a hot summer's day as it might get uncomfortable to be in the heat walking through the longer trails.
  Toilet facilities are available by the car park. Take the kids to the toilet first before you head into the trails as there is no toilet along the walking track.
  
  We took the Flinders Peak Loop via the West and East track. Our children aged between 5-7 all enjoyed the walk and the scenery. Just be aware, the first few hundred metres are along the very edge of the mountain side side, so kids who are afraid of heights might get a bit anxious. There are amazing views all the way around the loop and a couple of viewing platforms near the end of the walk.
  
  It took us about 2 and a half hours to complete the almost 5km Loop. But this was because we had to take a few rest breaks for the kids to hydrate and have a few snacks.
  The track is clear and well maintained, we also happened across a very nice park ranger who was walking the track checking for and collecting rubbish.
  The only part where we potentially might have gotten a bit lost was where there was a big rock jutting out of the mountain which kind of made a small cave underneath, there was no arrow to indicate to go around below the rock or up behind the rock. So when you do get there, go up behind the big rock. :)
  
  Bring lots of water and slather on sunscreen. We also recommend to put on some bug repellent lotion/spray.

  Gem of a place! Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves walking about in the natural bushland. Dramatic landscapes and awesome views. We did the East-West Trail which skirts around the peak, and the Flinders Trail which takes you to the highest point itself. Toilet facilities and plenty of parking available.

  Great place for a day hike/walk! I noticed lots of people bringing their kids and dogs so definitely kid/dog friendly
  
  There’s also some rock climbing here too which will check out soon!

  A beautiful place to visit with family and friends for hiking and picnic.
  Track 1 with stairs is more secure if you have young kids. The second track around the mountain is less secured, so don't take any risk.

  One of the best views of Geelong and surrounds from Finders Peak. Tracks and facilities are very good. Highly recommend for a walk and / or a picnic.

  Beautiful park. so much to do. perfect for the day out. lunch, walking, dogs, bikes, choices are limitless. always warmer there too!
